SARF - Smart Assistant Robot Farming 


SARF is an innovative automation project aimed at making Agriculture 4.0 even more efficient and sustainable.

The project focuses on experimenting with the use of an autonomous rover to assist farmers. While the current application is designed for the harvesting of fruits and vegetables, it can be easily extended to many other applications.

The currently developed features include:  

SPOS

Development of a row-following algorithm based on crop recognition

The option to set multiple drop-off locations for the rover to unload harvested produce

Collection of environmental data including temperature, humidity, radiation, and potentially GPS coordinates

Waypoint-based route planning with offline or online learning

A farming machine that employs cable traction to achieve sustainable, non-invasive, and organic agriculture.

The innovative features of this machine are:

SPOS

Electric machine powered by renewable energy to eliminate environmental and soil pollution.

Enables truly organic agriculture by drastically reducing the need for agricultural machinery and fertilizers

Eliminates soil compaction: cable traction prevents tractors from driving over the field, preserving the soil's structure
